Frequently Asked Questions
If you are in the USA, you can find your plant hardiness zone using the map below:
Find your hardiness zone using our zone map and check the description on the plant page for the minimum or maximum zone range. Your zone should be within the zone range for the plants you purchase.
Each plant page lists the mature size in the description tab. Keep in mind that it typically takes a few years for a plant to reach this size in your yard. This is region dependent as well. Generally, the larger the pot size you purchase, the faster your plant will reach maturity in your yard. For example, the 2 gallon pot size should reach maturity about 1 year faster than the Jumbo Pint size.
Check out the description for each plant located on the plant page of our site. It helps to understand your yard or patio to ensure you get the right amount of sun per day for the plants you purchase. This is a big factor in garden success.
Watering frequency and amount varies by variety, region and current weather conditions so it requires regular monitoring to ensure your plant is getting the right amount of water. We made a video about this which you can view on our How-To Videos page. Typically, a deep weekly watering is enough, and more often in hotter weather.
Each variety or plant species will have unique best practices when it comes to pruning, and we make specific how-to videos about this. Check out the How-to Videos page of our site to find the how-to videos for your plants.
Although we do our best to show representative photos on the product pages, live plants are subject to variation and seasonal changes. Your plant may not look exactly as shown.

We will deliver news of new releases first to our closest fans and subscribers so sign up for our seasonal care reminders and email updates to be the first to hear of exciting news and get access to pre-release sales.

Your plants are handled with care by our team and packed into boxes specifically designed for safe travel. Living plants are inherently fragile and things can happen outside of our control during transit, so in the unlikely event that your plant arrives damaged, we are happy to give you store credit for the replacement value.
Live plants are fragile and can become severely damaged or die if shipped during winter months. For this reason we do not ship during winter in Canada and may ship your plant in a dormant state outside of May-September. In the US, we may ship your plant in a dormant state outside of spring and summer or wait to ship if winter weather prevents us from shipping your plants safely.
